Our History

1944

Sheen Stickland founded by R C Sheen & A G Stickland in 81 High Street Alton, Hampshire

1948

A second office opened in Farnham, Surrey

1952

Alton office moves to 4 High Street

1966

A G Stickland was awarded an OBE for services to business and politics

1968

A third office in Farnborough opened.

1970

The practice acquired long established firm B C Scurr and Co

1972

The practice expanded into Chichester, Godalming and Tonbridge by acquiring Findjan, Greenhalgh & Co.

1979

Acquired Chidell & Company in Chichester

1980

Sussex and Kent based offices consolidated in East Pallant Street, Chichester

1989

The Bognor Regis satelitte office opened

1996

Partner David Sanders Joins the company

1998

The Bognor Regis office consolidated and moved into Chichester

1999

The Farnham & Farnborough Offices split and became part of Menzies

2001

Partner Philip Sharpe Joins the company

2011

Partner Paula Joyce Joins the company Joins the company

2017

Sheen Stickland Acquired Barter Durgan and Muir, opening the Petersfield office

2018

The Petersfield office moved to the Engine House

2022

The Alton office moved to 2 Omega park after 70+ years on the High Street

2024

The Chichester office splits from Sheen Stickland and becomes part of Lewis Brownlee

Sheen Stickland remains independently owned and continues to support businesses and individuals like it has done for 80+ years
